Top 5 Competitive Beyblade Combos to Crush Your Next Tournament
Looking to make it to the final rounds in your next tournament?! You are in the right place. Continue reading to learn some of the best combos to get you there!
Building solid combos require you to combine different parts from multiple Beyblades. While we always want to have one single combo to beat every opponent, we often find out that's not the case. There are too many variables to consider such as spin directions, mode types, and systems.
Your goal should always be to make the top 8 during the preliminaries rounds (in Swiss format) in order to qualify for the finals. Most of the time this means winning 3 to 5 rounds or having a winning percentage of at least 70% on the prelim rounds.
Now, how do you really build your combos for the best chance of winning?
We have studied and gathered all the intel from our tournaments and right here we are providing you the breakdown to build what we consider the top 5, tier 1 Beyblade combos. We feel confident that these 5 combos (no particular order) will increase your chances of winning an entire tournament.
1. Vanish Bahamut Tapered Bearing' - 3 (also known as VBH.Tp.Br'-3)
Comments: This is a very common/safe combo in the Dynamite series. It is commonly used by all top players and it provides a solid option for preliminaries and deck format.
The Bahamut core has a rubber that makes this combo very difficult to burst, especially when match with metal drivers.
I have seen many players during our tournaments going undefeated all the way to the finals with just this combo alone.
Combo DNA:
Difficulty to Launch: Easy
Performance: This combo performs VERY well against same-spin matches. Also, provides a solid option for opposite-spin matches. It does very well against right-spin attacks, but have to be very careful with left-spin attacks such as Rage or Guilty, especially when they run on Quick' or Xtreme'. You have to make sure to get out of their way on those first 3 seconds after launching.
What parts do you need to build this combo?
- DB Core: Bahamut (Takara Tomy B-186 01 Roar Bahamut or Takara Tomy B-190 All-in-one Set or Takara Tomy B-186 01 Confirmed)
- Blade: Vanish (Takara Tomy B-185 Vanish Fafnir)
- Armor: 3 (Takara Tomy B-185 Vanish Fafnir)
- Driver: Bearing' (Takara Tomy B-191 Override Set or Takara Tomy B-191 Bearing Confirmed)
- Disk: Tapered (Takara Tomy B-185 Vanish Fafnir)
2. Dynamite Perseus (F-Gear) Giga Drift' - 10 (also known as D(f)nR.Gg.Dr'-10)
Comments: Another big favorite of the blading community. There are many versions of this combo. Different cores and LAD drivers, but at the end of the day, it is an amazing LAD combo that can give you the chance to out-spin most opposite spin matches.
We love the Perseus core because of the very well positioned metal pieces on the corners. It provides a nice stability and allows the Beyblade combo to perform at its best.
Combo DNA:
Difficulty to Launch: Moderate
Performance: This combo is a must against opposite spin. Drift make this combos one tough opponent due to its high LAD (Life After Death). It takes experience and a great Drift mold to manage same-spin matches. There are many players who can win with this combo against same spin stamina combos. Again, it takes practice. Bladers must be very careful against right spin combos, especially attack drivers. This driver can lose control with single hits making you run out of stamina very quickly.

3. [Stock] Rage Longinus Destroy' 3A (also known as RLn.Ds'3A)
Comments: If there is one Beyblade that will retain the reign of "Best Stock (out-of-the-box) Combo" it will be Rage Longinus. This is powerful and reliable. It has been the scariest attack combo from the left side for quite some time now. His younger brother (Guilty Longinus) just came out. It looks very promising, but still being tested by the professional bladers.
The stock combo is amazing. But if you really want to up your game, you can add the Xtreme' driver. Please note, it requires practice to manage this extreme attacks drivers. But they are SO WORTH IT!
Combo DNA:
Difficulty to Launch: Moderate (Stock) - Hard (Xtreme')
Performance: This combo is extremely versatile. Aside from being one of the most dangerous left-spin killers, it also perform VERY well against right-spin combos. Comments: Yes! We have a great option to attack from the right side! If you have been in the game for a while, you understand the frustration. We feel comfortable saying the Savior has literally "save" the day.
The combo is vert tricky to manage and it has to be used when is needed. It is definitely a DECK combo and not to be used during preliminary rounds unless you are really good with it.
Combo DNA:
Difficulty to Launch: Hard
Performance: This combo is very powerful and aggresive. It provides you the ability to beat right-spin combos with the proper launch. Having Xtreme' on this combo makes it one that your opponent really needs to strategize around you and not for you. The key for success with this combo is to master the "flower pattern" launch. If you can dominate it, you will be a tough opponent for anyone.
